It might seem obvious, but we Cantieri Navali di Sestri believe it is important to reconcile ancient seafaring arts with modern technology and the requirements of modern-day yachtsmen. So much so that the maritime arts of the craftsmen and their knowledge, that is as old as it is invaluable, thrives in our yards. Tested, innovative systems are to be found alongside ancient traditions, for example the removal of epoxy resins thanks to which wood has regained its status of being a primary building material for many of today’s wind and motor-powered boats.
Operations at the yard have recently been boosted with the addition of two new 40 and 200 tonne pulleys hooked up to the powerful 400 tonne bridge crane and traditional cranes. In May 2005, the Cantieri Navali di Sestri received Rina Conformity Certification attesting to its having reached ISO 9001:2000 standards. Certification that confirms the attainment of quality standards required by regulations and for satisfying clients who demand the very best.
